Feast continues to rock. Yes, it’s cafeteria/counter service, but the more I eat there the more I appreciate their consistent goodness. On the comfort-food factor alone, I’m really tempted to upgrade them to an 8, but a few months ago the DG ginger beer packaging changed from a 12 oz bottle to something around 10 oz, and the price went up. Feh.
You can’t miss with the jerk pork, or either jerk or curried chicken. Even if you love jerk, be cautious about asking for it spicy, because it _will_ come out fire-eater hot. For me the rice ’n peas are a must-have, but really all of the sides are satisfying. And they’ve still got the best meat “patty” in town. If you like fried plantains you have to know to ask for them, because they’re not out on the steam trays.

This is a place to satisfy your hunger with comfort food — Caribbean style. I highly recommend the jerk pork, mild or spicy as you wish, though you have to beware the fat running through it; the fried plantains (!); and the ridiculously candy-sweet sweet potatoes.
This is not so much a restaurant as a carryout joint with a few long tables and a too-loud TV always on. Place your order at the counter, grab a drink from the fridge, have a seat and feast away.

Cheap, fast, spicy delicious gastrointestinal damage. And flaky crispy meat pies! If only I had a cast-iron constitution, I’d eat there more often.
