2003-02-03 It’s Chinese, it’s not bad- but it’s nothing to write home about. Too heavy on the sauces- it’s definitely geared toward american tastes. And maybe it’s un-american of me, but I don’t like Chinese food that is striving for mediocrity.

2002-12-03 City Lights was a longtime favorite of Phyllis Richman and the Zagat crowd, and that seems to have survived a management change around 1999. I still think it’s good, but then I am a gringo, and I usually get carryout. Much of the old City Lights staff is apparently now at Meiwah. |
