Couscous Cafe

A small, clean, bright, vaguely European place with a Middle Eastern or North African menu... which, although I took one on my way out, I can’t find. Think I used it as a bookmark, but now I can’t remember which book I was reading that day... damn. Anyway, I had a dish of rice with carrots and turnips and other vegetables and stewed chicken and stewed lamb. Very wonderful, although about three times more than I could eat. I placed an order at the counter then sat at a table. The food was delivered about five minutes later. The clerk who helped me checked back, and seemed disappointed that I had left so much on the plate. Nice staff, nice menu, nice ambience. I’ll be back for lunch, maybe with a small cooler so I can safely get the leftovers home. Oh, and pistachio baklava for dessert. mmmmmm. And good coffee. Yeah, I’ll be back.
