Service is somewhat surly, but the food is tasty- especially the paper dosai. The tea is sweeter and comes with cream in it, and additional servings are extra. Go to tiffin for dessert.

Very tasty South Indian place, DC’s best. An excellent place to take vegetarians.

When visiting with someone who has not been there before, it is necessary for someone to order the paper dosai. It is the same amount of dough as in the regular dosai, but rolled so flat that it has become comically large, so large that it has to be placed diagonally to clear the person next to you. It’s good to eat as well.
