2004-08-23 =wow= it’s just so nice to have a restuarant in NoVA that serves macrobiotic dishes! yay! For your first few visits, please do dine in to get the experience of looking at other patrons’ dishes and enjoying the tea & service. The menu is exhaustive in its listing of ingredients, including a glossary of terms, so by all means try something “out of the ordinary!” (mmmm gluten) I recommend in particar the lily flower soup. And the General Tao’s Suprise is quite good; I usually ask for extra carrot slices and broccoli florets. Once you get used to the menu and/or find a fave dish, I recommend take-away, as the dining area is rather small and always busy. They are always on-time (if not a bit early) in their take-away preparation, and they have a table or two to the right of the counter that usually holds the take-away orders. The parking lot is a bit of a pain, as it’s rather small & very narrow. If you’re doing take-away, try to have a driver & a food person — it’ll make things a lot easier! Very much vegan / vegetarian friendly! And omnivores / carnivores can enjoy it as well — the General Tao’s is a great choice for someone who is typically a carnivore :-) |
